SECTORAL STRATEGIES

We strongly believe that transformational changes in society can be brought about through good strategies.

We design and facilitate processes that align people across all levels and co-create a sectoral strategy that drives long-term action. Whether you’re navigating a complex policy landscape or bringing together diverse stakeholders around a common vision, we help you build strategies that are grounded in context, co-created with those who matter.

Our work includes government, regional and civil society thematic strategies, development plans, advocacy platforms and more.

HOW WE DO IT?

DESIGN A PROCESS

Drawing from approaches like design thinking, systems practice and co-creation, we hand-craft unique processes for each project to meet its specific needs.

Co-create IT

We see strategy not just as a plan, but as collective decision-making. We believe the most impactful strategies come from structured, inclusive dialogue with leaders and a wide range of stakeholders.

WRITE THE STRATEGY

The purpose of a document is to capture what’s been decided about the goals and the plan so it can be remembered and acted on. We create strategies that are to be read, used and returned to, not forgotten on a shelf.

LAUNCH IT

We make sure that the process leads to shared understandings that leads to action. But we also support the leaders in their execution of the plans.

PROJECT
EXAMPLES

We partnered with a ministry to develop national quality standards.

  • We designed a co-creation process that brought together all key stakeholders, giving them a sense of ownership and responsibility for later sector-wide implementation.
  • We facilitated engaging discussions with the stakeholders using design thinking methods.
  • We facilitated engaging discussions with the stakeholders using design thinking methods.

As a result of the process, the proposed national standards were agreed upon by all stakeholders through consensus.

  • We were approached by a coalition of local governments seeking to develop a shared strategy that would coordinate their individual efforts.

  • We collaborated with a research organisation and thematic experts to bring in additional knowledge and competences.

  • In addition to a series of co-creation workshops, we engaged wider stakeholders through two public events.

  • The created strategy served as a foundation for a successful international grant application.
