Joanna is a strategic consultant and civic leader with experience across the non-profit and public sector. She has been in the management and leadership of NGOs like DD Foundation, Student Foundation, University of Tartu Symphony Orchestra. Her strength in leadership has been to inspire and motivate teams to action by inspiring with a clear strategy.

Thanks to the previous work as a consultant in DD StratLab, she knows what issues leaders in education, sport, culture, local governments, different public institutions and youth work face and how to overcome them. Her work experience in the Ministry of Education and Research gives her an understanding of policy and public sector management.

Joanna is an expert in public discussion, having trained and facilitated co-creative and dialogic discussions. In 2024, she founded a festival called Hybrid European Democracy Festival where she brought together 15 different European cities for 15 hybrid discussion events. As a volunteer and supporter of Opinion Festival, she knows what needs to be done to create inspiring discussions.

She holds a Master’s degree in Change Management in Society and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
